Service Agreement
Thank you for choosing Declutter With Carly to help bring organization back to your home. Before we work together, it is important to review the following terms, as it is helpful when both parties are clear on expectations. We value you and your growth in the process. Your confidentiality and trust are of the utmost importance. Listed below are our terms of service that define our process and service.
This agreement is made effective as of (the “Effective Date”) by and between Declutter With Carly (the “Organizer”), and (the “Client”). Organizer and Client (the “Parties”) hereby agree:

Term. This agreement shall endure from the Effective Date through and including (the “Term”) or such earlier date as Organizer’s obligations under this agreement (other than those, if any, which survive termination) shall be completed.

Confidentiality. During the course of service, Organizer may come across items of a private or personal nature. The personal information of and in possession of Client will be treated confidentially and with respect at all times. No personal or private information is ever shared with anyone else. This includes name, address, and phone number.

Payment.​​

The payment due date will be listed on the invoice, which is typically issued 1-2 days after the completion of the project. In the case of multiple sessions, payment is due weekly for the work performed that week. Payment can be made via cash, Venmo, or PayPal.​

The agreed rate is $ per hour. This rate expires at the time regular scheduled appointments cease. There is no charge for the time spent planning, shopping, or making returns.

A deposit of $100 is due at time of booking. This is a non-refundable deposit that secures services for Client and will be used towards Client’s total payment. This deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Client will reimburse Organizer for the product at cost, no additional charges are added. If Client does not like the product that has been used, Client must let Organizer know before Organizer leaves Client’s home at the end of the day. Once Organizer has left Client's home, the product is owned by Client and will be invoiced as such.

If payment is not made within 30 days, Organizer reserves all rights to seek compensation due in court or may turn delinquencies to collection agencies if it considers it appropriate.

Project.

Ownership. Regarding the editing, sorting, and organizing of items, Client maintains process ownership. Organizer recognizes items as the sole property of Client, and though efforts will be made to help reduce the volume of belongings when necessary, it is hereby stated that the final decision on such matters belongs to Client.

Outcomes. ​Project outcomes depend on Client’s willingness to participate in the process: sorting, editing, and donating when necessary. Maintenance of organization relies on Client’s commitment to maintaining the space.​

Timeline. Timeline of project represents Organizer’s good faith professional estimate of what is achievable within the framework of this agreement assuming Client complies in good faith with all its obligations under this agreement. Parties agree that time may go longer or shorter than planned. Organizer takes into consideration Client’s emotional, physical, and mental needs and will adjust the speed of work for the best interest of Client.​

Donations/Trash. While Organizer cannot haul donations or trash away for Client, Organizer is happy to help Client load up a vehicle, or place the donations/trash wherever is best for Client.

Travel. For projects outside Southeast Michigan, Client shall pay a non-refundable deposit, the hourly rate of Organizer’s services, and Organizer’s travel expenses including transportation, lodging, and meals.

Deposit. A deposit of $1,000 is due at time of booking. This is a non-refundable deposit that secures services for Client and will be used towards Client’s total payment. This deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Transportation. Client shall reimburse Organizer for transportation costs incurred while providing services for Client. Transportation includes but is not limited to commercial airfare, train tickets, rental cars, taxis, rideshares, tolls, and mileage for personal vehicles. The amount due will be listed on the invoice and accompanied by receipts.

Lodging. Client shall reimburse Organizer for lodging costs incurred while providing services for Client. The amount due will be listed on the invoice and accompanied by receipts.

Meals. Client shall reimburse Organizer for meal costs incurred while providing services for Client. The amount due will be listed on the invoice and accompanied by receipts.

Cancellation Policy. Organizer requires a minimum of 24-hours notice of cancellation. Any appointments cancelled within fewer than 24-hours prior to appointment time will incur a cancellation fee of $50. No show appointments will incur a fee of $100, regardless of the number of hours scheduled. Hands-on organizing sessions begin at the scheduled time, regardless if Client is delayed. Organizer understands that emergencies happen and will allow Client one grace pass per calendar year to reschedule without penalty. There is no grace pass for no-show appointments. If late cancellations become routine, Organizer reserves the right to expect payment in advance for the entire session or refuse future services.

Disruption of Services. Organizer reserves the right to terminate this agreement for the following reasons: repeated cancellations or rescheduling, non-payment, unsafe, or unsanitary working conditions.

Liability. Organizer is not liable for any loss due to damage to property, self, or disposition of items. Client retains full responsibility, unless gross negligence or intentional damage has been proven.

Photo Release. Client releases all rights to before and after photos, to be used by Organizer for marketing purposes, including but not limited to website, social media, educational presentations, and pamphlets. Client identity and confidentiality will always be top priority in regards to photo usage.​

I have read, understand, and fully agree to the above terms and understand and agree that the services are being performed in accordance with the above items. By scheduling organizing services, I am agreeing to these terms.​
